About Szu-Yin

Praised for her musical sensitivity and lyrical qualities, Szu-Yin Lin, a native of Taiwan, is a highly accomplished pianist and chamber musician. Throughout her career, Ms. Lin has appeared in numerous prestigious performances and concert series. Ms. Lin’s performances have taken her to esteemed venues worldwide, including Carnegie Weill Hall, Lincoln Center Bruno Walter Auditorium, Merkin Concert Hall, The DiMenna Center, National Opera Center, Riverside Church, Saint Peter's Church in New York City, Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center, Heritage Hall, Gaithersburg Arts Barn in Washington D.C. area, as well as the National Recital Hall in Taipei and National Weiwuying Recital Hall in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Ms. Lin received formal training both in Taiwan and the United States. Throughout the school years, she has won numerous national and international top prizes and outstanding awards, including New York International Artist Association Piano Competition, Charleston Baroque Music Competition,  Tokyo Basel International Piano Competition, among others. In 2022, Ms. Lin was awarded first prize in the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music Concerto Competition, and performed with the CUA orchestra. She has also been selected to perform in masterclasses with renowned musicians from around the world, including Boris Berman, John O’Conor, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Borislava Taneva, Markus Wagner, Netanel Draoblate, and Peter Winograd, a member of the American String Quartet.

 

Ms. Lin holds a Master of Music in piano performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Russian pianist Dr. Arkady Aronov. She later worked with Böesendorfer Artist Dr. Ivo Kaltchev in Washington, D.C., focusing on piano performance and chamber music. Prior to her studies in the United States, she worked with Dr. John Vaughan at Soochow University. She is currently an active performer and educator in Taipei.
